Legal Advisor at Toyota Material Handling

About the Position

In the role of legal advisor, you will be part of Purchasing Excellence and will work closely with both the local purchasing organization and TMHE Legal & Compliance, which are also based in Mjölby. The role involves combining international collaboration with local implementation of group-wide guidelines and processes.

You will play a central role in preventing business legal risks, ensuring contract compliance, and contributing to our processes being in line with applicable legislation. The position involves office work in Mjölby with some opportunity for national and international travel.

As a Legal Advisor at Toyota, you will:

• Advise, draft, and review supplier agreements including framework agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and development agreements, focusing on risk minimization and regulatory compliance.
• Support complex contract negotiations by providing qualified legal advice that balances business and legal goals.
• Collaborate with the European Legal & Compliance function to implement and coordinate group-wide guidelines within the purchasing department and ensure harmonization of contract processes.
• Develop and manage internal governing documents such as procedures and guidelines, and conduct training for the purchasing organization on business legal issues.

We are looking for a Legal Advisor who has:

• A law degree or a master's degree in business law or equivalent academic education.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in business legal work, preferably with a focus on contracts and purchasing.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
